ABOUT
My name is Fabio, I'm the founder, designer and maker of the ICHNU bikes.
ICHNU Cycles is a new high-end bicycle project based in Sardinia - Italy.
The name ICHNU Cycles comes from the ancient name of Sardinia: Ichnusa.
It's the place where I was born and grew up, the place where my relatives started spreading cycling already in the early 50'.
The place that I can call 'home'.

The ICHNU Cycles project was born in 2021 from the ashes of FABIKE Bicycles, still during pandemic.
As FABIKE Bicycles could not survive the gigantic hit of Covid crisis on the bicycle industry, the understanding of the need of a different way of producing bikes became very clear to me - outsourcing production overseas was not anymore an option.

From that moment I stared studying, researching and developing in house different carbon fibre manufacturing technologies, as well as exploring all the different possibilities of 3D printing and additive manufacturing in general.
I wanted to be able to be as independent as possible, as reliable as possible, as local as possible.

After two years of intense designing, R&D and testing the ICHNU ERA frame was born.
100% made in house, with 100% sourced from Europe materials, with the collaboration of European only technical partners.

For me this is the beginning of a new era.
The era of local businesses taking back their independence and production capabilities.
The era of inventiveness, uniqueness and innovation. From people to people.
Now it's the era of people like me, you and anybody else with a crazy love for these amazing objects called bicycles.

Don't hesitate to further talk to me regarding the project, I can't wait for it!

THE ERA FRAME SET
I knew Rome wasn't built in a day.
More than two years of research and development have been a loooong jurney. But for a good cause.
The result is that the ICHNU ERA frame set features many smart technical innovation, up to date and future proof designs, premium row materials manufactured with uniqued technologies, and loooots of love behind.
Everything in the name of durability, easy of use and comfort.

Here just few features examples, but much more are there.
STRONG
BB
The native bottom bracket of the ERA is 86.5mm wide for either pressfit 46mm or T47 standard, at your choice.
Easy to service, yet stronger and more durable than a standard carbon fibre frame thanks to the 3D printed Grade 5 titanium.
Simply the best bottom bracket you can have for headache free riding.
CARBON
KEVLAR
DYNEEMA
The tubes of the ICHNU ERA are produced in house mixing woven fabrics to UD fibers. The tubes feature three different types of carbon fibre and in order to make the frame really strong yet more comfortable, the carbon fibres are winded together with Dyneema fibers or layed up with Kevlar fabrics, depending on the area of the frame.
That's pretty unique!
ADJUSTABLE
CLEARANCE
Both the rear dropouts of the frame and the fork feature an adjustable two positions system that allows you to increase maximum tire clearance, from 33mm in the first position to 42mm in the second position.
At the same time you will be able to switch from 140mm brake disc to 160mm disc without the need of moving the brake calipers, neither using adjusters.
It sounds complicated, but it's actually very easy.
